Author Archives: Francis Acero

Francis Acero is a thirty-ish guy employed in the public service. While he has been married since 2003 and a father since 2007, he's been with his wife since Jehosophat started jumping.

Kiko used to be a professional writer, but that didn't work out so well. He also used to be some kind of an editor, but that didn't blend in too well with law school.

Kiko (@nerveending on Twitter) is always available for a friendly chat, the odd favor, and the dispensation of general legal advice (although that might be an iffy proposition given that he is a public official). Whatever is written here does not reflect the opinion of the government, or of the office for which he works.

The Equal Protection Clause

by Francis Acero1/5/20111/5/2011

“So it is enshrined in the very first section of our Bill of Rights: ‘No person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law, nor shall any person be denied the equal protection of the laws.'”
