BAYANI
Paalam, Ma’am Haydee
Atticus
“Haydee Yorac was a rare human being. She was a blessing you wish there were more of. We need more like her. She was a woman we all can be proud of. (I am tempted to compare her with the woman currently in Malacanang, but a rat should not be sharing space with Haydee.)”
Graeco Paul Antipasado
“And I cannot say with certainty if there will even be another Haydee Yorac. For now, I can only hold out hope and optimism, because that is what Atty. Yorac reignited in me.”
Sheila Coronel
“If there is anything that Haydee’s life has shown us, it is this: You can tell the truth and get away with it. You can tell the truth and still be so loved, so respected and so feared. Haydee knew, much more than anyone in public life today, the awesome power of truth, of honesty and of personal integrity.”
Atty. Pablito V. Sanidad
“It is for us to honor her memory by keeping alive the principles she stood for in public service and use them to judge those who may wish to lead this country and claim that they have the best interests of our people at heart.”
Omi Royandoyan
“We mourn the passing of former PCGG Chair Haydee Yorac who, for many years, stood for the interest of the small coconut farmers and farm workers.”
“We bid farewell to a colleague and a friend who has instilled in us, and demonstrated to the youth, the noble cause of fighting for truth, justice and freedom.”

Gari Lazaro
“Surely, RSR will be missed by us, the youth who found hope in him. His idealism taught us that no one could buy our principles.”
Ederic P. Eder
Darwin Mariano
“A visionary leader with a clear sense of what is right and just, an unconventional politician with a reputation that has never been tainted with corruption, and, most importantly, a former student leader without any political pedigree who, by sheer idealism and hardwork, has managed to become an accomplished lawyer, a brilliant legislator, an exceptional cabinet member and the best President this country never had.”
Dexter Alapag Villanueva
“Raul S. Roco is a true servant of the people, especially the Filipino youth. [He] is the best Philippine President we never had.”
Anthony Ian Cruz
“Roco personified the best the traditional political elite has to offer.”
Luis G. Jalandoni
“The NDFP shares in their grief for the passing of an exemplary Filipino patriot and civil libertarian who stood for substantial progressive reforms to uplift the people from their oppressed and exploited condition.”
Alexander Martin Remollino
“That was Rene N. Jarque — a patriot in his own right, a brilliant thinker, and a good friend. An officer and a gentleman.”
Alexander Martin Remollino, Bulatlat.com
“What does retired Army Brig. Gen. Raymundo Jarque think of military corruption, which his son and others fought against in various ways? What does he think has been achieved so far in this area, and what more does he think should be done?”
Carol Pagaduan-Araullo
“Rene Jarque’s legacy to the struggle to bring about an armed forces that will truly serve the interests of the people and the country is surely enshrined in the hearts and minds of the patriotic men and women in uniform. Indeed, he has served his people and his country well and we are all very proud of him.”
Atty. Soliman M. Santos, Jr.
“Philippine Army Captain Jose Rene N. Jarque, dead at 40, in the prime of life, with so much yet to give to family and country. It is both shocking and especially sad when the good die young unexpectedly.”
“The National Democratic Front of the Philippines salutes Capt. Rene Jarque, as a patriotic officer and man of the highest integrity. “
TINIGA Liar Has No Right to the Presidency

“The killing by pro-Arroyo majority congressmen of the impeachment complaint, which had the support of several organizations, has ignited a series of mass protests. A new broad oust-Arroyo alliance has vowed to remove the president by a third people power.”
“Though scrapping the SDO was right, the timing was suspect as the announcement came a few weeks after former president Corazon Cojuangco-Aquino withdrew her support to the beleaguered Macapagal-Arroyo presidency.”
Groups Say Gloria Will Suffer Marcos’ Fate
“Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will be remembered as the president who was on par with if not gone beyond Ferdinand Marcos’ infamous legacy. Arroyo is more devious, however. She did not have to declare martial law to be a dictator.”
“It seems that there is also a sweetheart deal between President Gloria Macapagal- Arroyo and Danding Cojuangco over thousands of hectares of lands including the 507.87 hectares land in Calatagan, Batangas owned by farmer-beneficiaries, according to the party-list group Akbayan.”
