Today, I am facing a serious struggle about migrating to the US or to go abroad after I finished my studies to look for better jobs there, as well as to settle down to live abroad. Why? It is because the Philippines, as a country, appeared hopeless as it only got worse year after year. I just wanted to know if I and my own family would be better off staying in the country or abroad in the next years.
I asked myself this formula question: “Will the Philippines progress in the next years before I graduated from college?”
If the answer is YES, I will stay here. If the answer is NO, I will leave and relocate my own family abroad while we are still young and energetic.
But after a long time of thinking and self-discussion, I could not give a definite answer to the question. Until I realized that actually the answer to that question is in me! The country will improve if I do something about it. It won’t if I don’t do anything.
I realized that the answer is in us as Filipino people. That hope is in us!
We are all part of the problem. We are all partly to blame.
But the good thing is we are also the answer! We are also the solution!
