A Dream

I HAVE ALWAYS longed for the moment when my heart would leap at the sight of someone it beats for. I've always wished at a falling star everytime I gaze at the vast night sky. I've always been waiting for my knight in shining armor to take me in his warm embrace and shield me from the foes in our midst.

And so, I waited, I saw a few imitations and I dreamt that they were real but sadly, they weren't. I lost hope,things i waited no more. I thought that love was just a jaded thing of the past,that it was just for corny romantic fools, that it was not for me. I was destined to die alone and while I still lived, I'll be alone. Then came you...

You brought hope back to me. You are my laughter,you are my friend. Thank you for the affection. Thank you for the strength you give me. Now I live again.
