VARIOUS people's
organizations led by Plunder Watch, the Organization of United
Solicitors for Truth and Estrada's Resignation (Ouster) and the
Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (Bayan) formally submitted at 3:00
pm this afternoon a nine-page pleading at the Supreme Court asking
for a review of the tribunal's ban on live media coverage of the
Estrada trial.
The lead signatories
in the pleading are Dr. Carolina Pagaduan Araullo and Fr. Joe
Dizon of Plunder Watch; Teodoro Casiño of Bagong Alyansang Makabayan;
and Rey Asis of the College Editors Guild of the Philippines.
At the same
time, about 100 members of Plunder Watch, Bayan and the CEGP picketed

The protesters
carried two huge papier heads wearing lampooned Rayban sunglasees,
which they renamed Media Ban.
