Umiinom ako ng decaf
Nang mabalitaan ko
Ang latest sa Abu Sayyaf:
Namatayan daw ng hostages
Sa shootout
Sabi ko, "Gloria's definitely out."

"Another proof of the government's incompetence,"
hirit naman ng friend ko
na may Mercedes Benz

"One year din naghirap
Ang mga Burnhams at si Yap,"
Sabi ng isa ko pang friend
While sipping his mocha frapp

"Nagka-malaria pa daw yung guy,"
another friend read sa Manila Standard
"Kaya siguro namatay,"
conclude pa niya while looking for his credit card

"Nabaril, gaga,"
pag-correct naming tatlo sa kanya
"Oh, right. Pero may nabuhay, 'di ba?"
"Yup. Si Gracia,"
sagot ko while checking out the cute barista

"I heard she's going back sa US"
sabi ni friend with the Mercedes
"Bakit kaya hindi nag-States na lang si Ediborah?
'Di sana hindi sila nag-meet ni Abu Sabaya,"
sabi ng friend kong mahilig sa mocha

"E ikaw, bakit ka nagpa-frappuccino
e meron namang espresso?"
tanong ng friend kong fan ni Jullie Daza
Bigla kong nakalimutan yung barista
Naisip ko,
"Aba, he's not so bad naman pala."
