TULA
Mythmaking
Ni April Tamin
And she shall
live
in my imagination,
the kind which wears a heart
for poems and freedom.
There is no
guilt in it,
for slashing everything in two.
Even leaving behind
the things that do not fit.
She'll have
the soul to weave continuously
without untangling the fear
of getting too old and
have nothing to live for
except the richness
of her expectations.
Burning idols
she will destroy;
The Greece of her heart will flow
without turning
truth, pain, and beauty
into stone
as a matter of preservation.
Being to the
world
and for the world,
she'll revel in consciousness
as a woman,
without finding in every color
stereotypes,
the glint of the unbearable.
and completely miss the point
of silver slashes in the cheek.
She'll even
change her mind,
become a parable instead
and bear children.
