Good news kelangan ng mga labandera, magbubukas ng karinderya, bugaw, entertainers (Gro or postitutes will do, bakla or babae) abortionist.

:lol2:

Sherbien, something to think about, regarding your post…

If that is how you perceive your kababayans in your very own eyes and perception, what do you think the Americans will think about them? Any foreigner will see a Filipino exactly the way you painted them and in the manner you belittle and portray your very own people, do you really expect these foreigners to treat your kababayans with RESPECT and DIGNITY?

I'm not belittling, degrading or damaging the dignity my fellow Filipinos. But do you know what is my main point why do I write that? Analyze our situation in our dear country!

I do believe that Filipinos are the strongest creature living hell(here) in earth and they do have those survival techniques to strive everyday. I have just suggested some things so that some of them could intensify their survival instincts.

Foriegners especially Americans, do you think they respect us on the first place? What had happen after the world war II? What is their nasty plans?

We don't have to say that we have dignity and we need respect Edsa1 and II speaks for itself. But sadly some Filipinos need to be prostituted(a human advocate says that it's better to say prostituted that prostitutes) to be slaved in foreign lands etc. just to survive themselves and their families. Is that means they degrade themselves and the image of our country?

I too write that comment and does it means that I'm degrading our country and I'm a pilibustero? Well, a sort of.... I'm sorry, I was confused...Ooooohhhhh God what have I done? I'm sorry!!! (While saying that I'm kneeling on the rough floor, my eyes were as big as of those of owl, trembling and fully sweat...).

I'm not exagerating, that's your opinion and you're entitled of it....

Thanks for your comment, ganyan lang talaga akong magcomment!!!

Last word: Im not creating a Cockaigne ......

Binabasa ko ang Gapo ngayon. Pinuno ko nga ang Wireless Journal ko sa PEx ng quotes galing dito.

StarGazer, style lang talaga ni Sherbien yan. ;)

I understand Ederic…LOLZ.. Maybe it's just my upbringing. I have always been taught that respect is earned, not freely given. :)

Sherbien, pardon me if I may have misinterpreted your post and took your rhetorics seriously rather than taking it as just a mere egotistical grandiloquent statement on your part. Foremost, how in the world can a labandera or a prostitute afford to have a personal PC to be able to read your comments, I should have realized that from the beginning. My mistake!

Although this may sound foreign to you, but yes Americans are big on RESPECT. Proof is that I am here living in their midst. But, having said that, YOU have to prove what the word really means because they will not just give it to you just for the heck of it, as I said it is earned and only given to those who are deserving.

Whatever happened during WWII? My answer is I don't know, but my interpretation is that, war is war. Weren't the Japanese just as cruel as their American counterparts? How about the Spanish who committed the worst unimaginable atrocities to the Filipino people? The question we should be asking is whether the Spanish or the Japanese compensated the Philippines or helped rebuilt our war-torn country? The United States did, billions of dollars were poured into our economy and even as we discuss these things, they still do, if you forgot already, Mr. Cement Head (that's Bush to you) just gave GMA $10M in aids a month or so ago.

I also believe that Filipinos are the most wonderful people here on earth although I would beg to differ on the "living in hell" part. Nature thought us to be strong and our greatest human attribute is the will to survive. Filipinos seem to thrive very well in any face of tragedies, Filipinos will do anything in order to live and just because they are doing the most lowly of all jobs doesn't mean they don't have enough dignity left in them, yes even the prostitutes. Poverty is a malignant disease our government has to work with and unless this is eliminated, people will continue to prostitute themselves for the sake of survival.

"Last word: Im not creating a Cockaigne" ...... --- I guess not, you need more than prostituting yourself to get there and may even has to resort to a lot of "pimping". ---

PEACE!
:)

umm...

in the first place, who keeps us crawling on our knees?
the whole US-3rd World country situation is not unlike a feudal landlord and the hungry farmer tied to slavery with a leash of debts.

Loans won't help us. As I've always stressed, we do not have to rely on outside forces alone! Loans will keep piling up, people will continue to dig their own graves.

First of all, there is no such thing as a free lunch. Do you honestly believe that the loan dangled in front of our government comes from Bush's goodness of heart?

If the yankees would really want to help us, do you think a loan is a solution? If you are neck-deep in debt, will another loan help?

If they would really want to help us, they should cancel our debt.

Loans, ideally, should help development and progress. But reality is far from the ideal. The reality is that it breeds corruption among self-serving politicians. I doubt that the yankees do not know this. The more corrupt a person, the more you could manipulate him/her with a dangling dollar bill. Tell 'em to sit, and they sit. Tell 'em to roll over, and they roll.

Now, with people who would sell their mother for a shiny quarter, leading us in an economic downward spiral, should we still wonder why we get no respect?

This is just one facet of the matter.

Well, the Japanese and the Americans were not far from each other in terms of cruelty as colonizers, but the more important question is, who the hell keeps the chains of bondage wrapped around us till now?

And no, it is not the Spaniards who committed the worst atrocities against the Filipino people. It is just that they are the ones who stayed the longest. Please read the books of Renato Constantino and Teodoro Agoncillo. They cited in great detail the diabolical pacification methods the Americans used against the Filipinos during the Occupation. Have you heard of people being hung by the neck for seconds and then released to fall on the ground? The Americans did that, you know. Have you heard of ten year-old boys being shot dead? The Americans did that, you know. Have you heard of entire villages being burned? The Americans did that, you know. And they did all that to bring us the great boons of civilization and democracy. They can drive their civilization and democracy down into their manholes for all I care. And they teach us civilization and democracy? The writings of del Pilar, Lopez Jaena, Rizal, Bonifacio, Jacinto, and Mabini prove that there existed Filipinos who knew about civilization and democracy long before they came here with their Krags.

And what happened after the war? Well, the Americans gave us millions in reparations. But with those millions came parity rights for American monopoly capitalists. This had our budding enterprises competing with giant corporations, this had us putting a kitten out on the streets to claw it out with the neighborhood tomcats.

Well, they recently gave us millions in loans. But, according to the Filipino scientist and inventor Daniel Dingel, each loan includes provisions prohibiting us from creating products that would compete with American products. This prevents us from embarking on the road to industrialization and therefore economic self-sufficiency. And they say the loans are to help us? They can eat their money for all I care.

Again this is the musing thoughts of a person with an egotistical grandiloquent statement:

Of course labandera and prostitutes certainly have no PCs and they could not read my advertisement on TINIG but through word-of-mouth advertising, my good news is being being dissected to them and instinct, again will say that they should allow my suggestion to fulminate on their behalf to survive. Of course they would know that they are doing right because,
Quote:
Filipinos seem to thrive very well in any face of tragedies, Filipinos will do anything in order to live and just because they are doing the most lowly of all jobs doesn't mean they don't have enough dignity left in them, yes even the prostitutes
!!!

Another thing, I don't want prostituting myself, I just preffered to be called prostituted (so that I could walk chin-up and pretend that I was only a victim...sometimes, I'm a hypocrite you know...).

I'm not creating a war on the net, I was only carried by my stupid emotions (if I have coz I know I want to be like shishi-o of Samurai-X)...

Peace and sorry for my crazinest (not I lied, I'm not Merriam Defensor Santiago)!!!

hey! nothing beats a hearty debate! how can we express our innermost views if we don't let it bleed? :lol2:

after all, a one-sided discussion won't go anywhere. if everyone agrees on one thing, that would be the end of critical thinking!

anyway, to add something to what alex wrote, the americans were smarter than the spaniards. or perhaps, shrewd is a more fitting term.
i think i wrote about this some months ago here in this forum, something about a comm1 paper where i classified our colonists into two- the smiling, and the angry colonist.

the angry colonists basically tried to conquer us through terror, brutality and force- the japs and the spaniards. the smiling colonists utilized a subtler approach.

of course, there's no point denying that the US atrocities during the Fil-Am
war have been cruel and brutal. But what alex did not mention was that while the yanks shot 10-yr. old kids back then, they also went village to village, winning the people over with candy treats for the kids. of course, both operations weren't done on the same area. this is why there were US-loyal filipinos back then.

the media also played a part, as usual. the first Sakay films portrayed him as a bandit, rather than a revolutionary.

nationalism, ironically, still fared better than, despite the flag law- the yanks baned the display of our national colors and our national flag.

sure, they may have helped us fight the spaniards, but for what reason?
aguinaldo (not dennis) got betrayed by his yankee allies. why?

everything got skewed after WW2. we celebrated the yanks, but forgot the HUKBALAHAP. the government even hunted these people down, of course, per instructions of the loaners.

now, fast forward to the present (skipping a very large episode reagarding the US Bases). if you, for example, are neck-deep in debt, is it wise to accept another loan to improve your condition?

**********
