And since showbiz writer ako, I might as well comment on a subject that I know best.

I saw this movie, sa premier night pa nga. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't terribly good either. Richard Gutierrez and Angel Locsin succeeded in lighting up the screen-- and not much else. Blame the cliched storyline of the movie, which was about a rich girl falling in love with a poor boy. I've seen this a dozen times in GMA 7's (the producer) shows, so I wasn't exactly thrilled when I realized this was just a rehash. Although if this storyline was handled by a more experienced romance comedy screenwriter like Joey Reyes, who's so good at probing the soul of Pinoy bagets culture, I bet he would have pulled it off.

Tama si chocnut_babe... it's a cliche movie... pero ok lang din kc kung pampakilig ang hanap mo, the directors have been successful in it... What I just didn't like was the 2nd phase of the movie... I mean, the writers could have ended the story when they were still young... pero in the movie umabot pa ung storya hanggang sa pagtanda nila.

Pero I liked the movie, kilig nga eh. The story? Siguro kokonti na lang ang mga girls na mai-in-love sa hindi nila ka-estado sa buhay o kasama sa social circles nila, not because imposible but because of proximity, familiarity, etc., and kokonti na lang ang mga guys na achievers lalo na pag poor as in hindi makapag aral kasi in reality ang daming responsibilities and ang daming bad influence na kasama sa environment.

Pero it was inspiring, in a way.

Heheheh....
