Crackdown! ..... Linux anyone?

naapektohan ba kayo sa recent crackdown ng unlicensed windows software? anong stand nyo dito? any alternatives?

share nyo dito't baka sa susunod mga home PC's na titirahin nila. :roll: ....mas mabuting nakahanda ang mga katinig. :D

pag ginawa nila yun... install na lang ako ng Fedora tsaka Open Office sa bahay... :lol:

nasubukan mo na ba yung linux Bayanihan na gawa ng mga taga UP? balita ko mas simple raw at parang XP ang interface.......at P200 lang! ...... :D

nakita ko lang kasi dati may ni-repair akong pc dito sa ofis... may naka-install na "bayanihan"... kaya lang hindi ko nasubukan kasi hindi ko alam yung password ng user :)

pasenya na at hindi ako makarelate sa mga linux-linux na yan though lately sinux ako ng sinux...kaya panaw inom ko ng tubig... :lol:

yakman: kung windows yun madali lang sanang pumasok. :D ..... astig talaga ang linux, though it takes time to get used to it, pero worth it talaga kung concerned ka sa security at stability.... :D

cabron: hehe, ala pa yatang sims na pang-linux....pero ayos lang, di naman yata nireraid ang workplace mo di ba? ;)

sabi nga nila the best things in life are free. kasama n ung mga open source dun, hindi binibigyan ng attention masydo ng MS and security ng knilang mga software kya paboritong paglaruan ng mga h4x0r. open source is good. yun nga dapt gmitin naten kse mahirap na bansa lng tyo can't afford bumili ng mga mamahaling software na marami naman bugs :lol:

Tama! Kung ako papipiliin mas gusto ko mag-explore sa open source na OS. Malaking oras nagugugol ko minsan sa pagtanggal ng mga bagong virus at worms na yumayari sa pc ko. Madalas hassle sa work.

Balita ko nga isa sa pinakanirerekomenda ang Linux.Masubukan nga. ^_^

Salamat sa tip, mang edmund. tanong ko lang po:

-puwede nga ba palang mag-install ng mga software gaya ng adobe photoshop, indesign at acrobat and the likes sa ubuntu? Yun kasi basically ang ginagamit kong programs sa work, besides other softwares ahehehe...keri kaya yun sa ubuntu?

hindi pa maaring mag-install ng Windows software sa Linux. but maaring gamitan ng emulator, gaya ng Wine na program, kung saan gagawa siya ng Windows environment sa loob ng Linux para patakbuhin ang win progs. hindi nga lang ito gaanong reliable last i checked, kaya i switched na to Linux equivalent software. for Adobe Photoshop, andyan ang Gimp. marami rin pdf readers/writers for linux. same goes for large format, web, and animations. yun nga lang, mag-aaral ka na naman ng bagong program. :(

nabalitaan ko itong WINE para mag emulate ng windows program... na-try nyo na ba sa Photoshop, mejo malaki kasi ang kaibahan ng Photoshop sa GIMP, parang ang hirap bitawan ng Photoshop.

i'm using Ubuntu, it's quite good!
